With the ongoing pandemic continuing to affect the England schooling system, the government have revealed a number of remote learning support solutions to help pupils whilst they are home schooled.

If you are a teacher with a class that are home schooling, we understand that with various moving parts and ever-adapting guidelines, it can be difficult to ensure that your class are receiving the best level of education that they can in the current circumstances.

At World Class Teachers, as a primary and secondary teaching agency in London, we are here to help and support in any way that we can, keeping you up to date with the latest COVID guidelines and advice.

Laptops for Pupils

One of the government’s latest support schemes is to issue an extra 100,000 laptops to children that are most in need if they are required to work at home.

The extra laptops will be available to help Year groups 3-11 who don’t have access to these devices at home already, meaning they are able to continue their education and access online lesson resources.

With over 220,000 laptops having already been provided to disadvantaged and/or vulnerable children that are unable to return to school, we hope that this can continue so that children receive the best form of teaching possible during their time studying at home

Training for Teachers

There has also been an expansion for the EdTech Demonstrator programme to help ensure that teachers and schools are able to best utilise the technology available to help ensure that children’s home schooling is as beneficial as possible.

The programme has had an extra £1m of additional funding, providing in-depth training for teachers and support workers to help you get up to speed with the latest technology and software to aid your pupils’ learning whilst they are at home.

EdTech Demonstrator has capacity to provide over 3400 schools and colleges with bespoke support on a 1 to 1 basis, and is hoping to expand this even further. The support and training is provided through webinars, tutorials and personalised support to teaching staff 1 to 1.

Should you need to speak to our team about any resources and training programmes, please feel free to get in touch.
